Meet Jordan Derby (aka Dilla) 28, entrepeneur, owner and founder of Dilla fades barbershop and training academy. Dilla is an expert in all aspects of traditional and modern hair cutting and male grooming, he is a fade and afro specialist, a qualified teacher and professional training assessor.
Dilla has many years experience as a working barber, building his knowledge and skills in busy barbershops around Manchester.
Dilla's passion for the craft and drive to create his own brand, saw the opening of Dilla Fades Barber shop here in Manchester, in February 2022. Since then the shop has grown into a well established, successful and thriving business.
As part of the business expansion, and Dilla's vision for his ever growing empire, in August 2023, Dilla Fades Training Academy opened its doors and is proud to have already delivered its first NVQ level 2 graduate and is well underway with training the next aspiring barbers! Some of the tailored courses are booked up, and interest is growing, so we expect to see both the commercial barbering space and its learning facilities continuing to expand over the next 12 months.
